Parents in a three-generation home need: a bedroom that does not share a wall with a child's room, an attached bathroom with accessible fittings, ideally a small sitting space, and proximity to the main living area without being on top of it. This rules out most standard 3BHK configurations, where the master bedroom is at one end and the third bedroom is adjacent to it.
