Four Bands. One Stage. One Champion.
The Gulfport Senior Foundation proudly presents the inaugural Battle of the Bands Series—an exciting live music competition where YOU decide who advances!
Four outstanding Tampa Bay bands will battle it out on stage for a chance to earn a place in the 2026 Gulfport Battle of the Bands Championship, where the winners from four quarterly competitions will compete for the title of Gulfport's Best Band of the Year!
Unlike traditional concerts, the audience becomes part of the action. At the end of the evening, every guest will cast an electronic vote to determine which band advances to the championship.
The Gulfport Senior Foundation will host 4 Battles over the next year with the Winner from each competing for the title of Gulfports Band of the Year in 2027

🎶 Nzou & The AfroSoul
Originally from Zimbabwe and now based in Florida, Jeremiah "Nzou" blends African folk traditions with Afro-jazz, soulful melodies, and infectious rhythms inspired by legendary musician Oliver Mtukudzi. His heartfelt storytelling and vibrant performances create an uplifting musical experience unlike anything else in Tampa Bay.
🎸 Grego Anderson
A respected local guitarist and songwriter, Grego Anderson is well known throughout the Tampa Bay music scene for his blues-influenced rock style and expressive musicianship. His performances blend original music with crowd favorites, showcasing powerful guitar work and dynamic vocals.
🎤 Dave Gulino & The Mercenaries
A longtime favorite throughout the Gulf Beaches and St. Petersburg music community, Dave Gulino & The Mercenaries deliver high-energy performances featuring classic rock, blues, and dance favorites that keep audiences singing and dancing throughout the night.
🎵 Chinnie & The Resurrection
Known for energetic live performances and an eclectic mix of soul, reggae, rock, funk, and contemporary favorites, Chinnie & The Resurrection bring infectious energy and audience interaction wherever they perform, making every show feel like a celebration.
YOU Decide the Winner!
After every performance, audience members will cast their vote electronically. One band advances. Three bands go home.
The winner returns to compete in the Battle of the Bands Grand Championship, where Gulfport's Band of the Year will be crowned.
