About this Event

In the lead‑up to Stirling’s Walking the Marches (Saturday 30 May 2026), come along and discover more about one of the key sections of the route — the Back Walk.

These walls have stood against both Cromwell’s army and Bonnie Prince Charlie, playing a key role in defending the city during times of conflict. Today, they’re not just a local landmark—they might even be of international importance.

Come along to learn more about the history, battles, and stories tied to this remarkable part of Stirling’s past.

Meet outside the Nationwide Building Society on Port Street.

Please note that the walk follows a path but includes a fairly steep incline, so sturdy footwear is recommended. We’ll take it at a gentle pace with plenty of pauses along the way to chat.

Donation-Based Entry Info:

Our events run on a donation basis, with a suggested contribution of £5 per person. Eventbrite only allows one ticket per donation, but don't worry — we’ve got you covered:

If you donate £10, we’ll assume two people are attending. £15 = three people, and so on. No need to book multiple tickets — just donate the total amount for your group, and we’ll count you in accordingly!

Thank you for supporting our charity — your contributions help us keep these events going.

This event is organised by Stirling Heritage Alliance.
