Consumer Research Symposium 2026
In Person Attendance
Join us at the University of Stirling for our annual Consumer Research Symposium, an interdisciplinary event bringing together academics, researchers, and practitioners to explore emerging themes, methods, and debates in consumer research.
This year’s symposium focuses on digital consumer research, AI, platforms and immersive environments. Across the day, speakers will examine how consumers engage with rapidly evolving technologies, how digital systems mediate behaviour and identity, and what new methods are needed to study these changes.
The symposium offers an engaging mix of research presentations, discussion sessions, and an interactive methods lab. It is designed to foster conversation between established scholars and early-career researchers in a welcoming and collaborative environment.
Guest speakers:
Dr Josephine Go Jefferies, Newcastle University
Prof Kirk Plangger, King's College London
Dr Mike Molesworth, University of Birmingham
Dr Liudmila Ostrovskaya, University of Alicante
René Mähr, CEO & Co-founder, Synfia.ai, Vienna
Symposium Co-Chairs:
Dr Ismini Pavlopoulou & Prof Thomas Anker, University of Stirling
