Get up close and personal to the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, one of the nation’s most biodiverse ecosystems! We will travel north up the Blakeley River, which is a relatively easy/beginner-friendly journey. During this paddle, we will be on the lookout for interesting and exciting birds along the way. This paddle will be approximately 2 miles (Up and back to the park).Please make your reservation at https://www.alapark.com/parks/meaher-state-park/park-events
Price is $15 per person. An additional $15 charge will be added if you need to rent a park kayak (13.5 ft tandem kayaks that can seat 1 or 2 paddlers. Life jacket and paddles included). Note - There are two different reservation tabs -one for bringing your own kayak and one for kayak rentals.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and have their parent/legal guardian fill out a release form for them. Any child under 16 must have an adult present in the kayak with them.
Please arrive at the park about 30 minutes before the start time to give yourself enough time to get prepared and use the restroom.
What to bring: Water, snacks, weather appropriate clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat
