Guided hike with Sheroams - Luds Church

Join us for a chill winter SheRoams girls-only hike to Luds Church, one of the Peak District’s most atmospheric hidden spots. This is a short, relaxed hike designed for connection, fresh air, and slow winter wandering rather than distance or speed.

We’ll be starting from a car park on Gradbach Mill Lane. Please note that there is little to no phone signal in this area, so make sure you arrive on time and have any details saved beforehand. The good news is that most car parks along this road offer free parking.

The route takes us through woodland paths and into the dramatic, moss-covered gorge of Luds Church. Winter conditions make this place especially magical, but also mean paths can be muddy, uneven, and slippery, so proper hiking footwear is essential.

This hike will be taken at a steady, supportive pace, with time to enjoy the surroundings, take photos, and warm up with good conversation. It’s all about moving together, staying safe, and enjoying a peaceful winter escape with like-minded women.
