No.1 selling original motion picture soundtrack Guardians of the Galaxy.

Awesome Mix Vol. 1, 2, 3 is the soundtrack album for the Marvel Studios film Guardians of the Galaxy, featuring the songs, of the main character, Peter Quill's Mix tape.
The soundtrack album reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, becoming the first soundtrack album in history consisting entirely of previously released songs to top the chart.
The director using the songs from the 60s and 70s as "cultural reference points", "It's striking the balance throughout the whole movie, through something that is very unique, but also something that is easily accessible to people at the same time.
Soft Treadly, who brought us the Talking Heads and Bowie show to BAR36 in 2024 is a covers project formed by the original members of Brisbane's The Jensens, brings together their extensive studio expertise, musical prowess and crowd-pleasing charm to deliver an unforgettable live music experience for audiences of all ages.
Soft Treadly adopting the same sentiment as the philosophy behind the GOTG soundtrack of making this music more accessible, rolling out classic tunes live and connecting with their audiences.

‘Based on the success of the Bowie and Talking heads show by Soft Treadly, I just had to get this band back to Cairns! says Entertainment Manager Bruce Stewart. ‘It’s a different way to roll out great covers and awesome to see/hear a young band embracing these timeless tunes.
‘It’s all very intergalactic at the Casino at the moment, so this idea GOTG, is the perfect fit for us… everyone is welcome to dress up as your favourite epic space character…Hero or Villain of course and join to the fun of our little outer space adventure.’ says Bruce
