DESCRIPTION
This month at GRWebDev, Alex Mead will give a general overview of the technology stack used in building the dating application, Blind Date. Topics will include Infrastructure-as-Code on AWS, the PostgreSQL relational database, and the application layer itself written in Django. Special attention will be given to explaining Django’s Model-Template-Controller design pattern and how it is utilized for the browser-based mobile app. Mead will also share some business insights learned by taking Blind Date live in the summer of 2024 in West Michigan and will finish the talk with a question-and-answer session.
