Gruppa Afghantsy is taking us back to the ‘80s with the first reenactment of its kind: Iran-Iraq war. Contact GA or us for more details. We are looking for those to answer Saddam’s call, or join the Sacred Defense of Iran! The reenactment will last 40 hrs, from April 10-12, 2026, and the ticket cost is slated to be $50. FAQs:
Q: Is this a 40 hour event?
A: Yes, we will camp out at the AO for a full 40 hours. Bring period tents and sleep systems.
Q: What does the AO look like?
A: It is a desert AO with trench systems for both sides, adding to a more accurate and immersive experience.
Q: Will provisions be provided?
A: Yes, water and cooked meals will be provided. However, do bring your own supplementary provisions and snacks to keep going for 2 days.
Q: Is this an airsoft or blank fire only reenactment?
A: While we highly recommend a blank fire weapon (An AK-47 or AKM pattern will do for both sides), airsoft is allowed. Thus, all participants must wear eye protection.
Q: I never went to a reenactment before. How much different is it from an airsoft or milsim
game?
A: Military Reenactments emphasize the living history aspect of military units, so there will be more emphasis on roleplay, eating culturally accurate foods, and simulating the daily living conditions of that era and unit. While there are scripted battles, they make up a fraction of a reenactment. No 24/7 g00ner OPTEMPO lol
Q: I want to join, but is it expensive?
A: No, compared to say, European kits of the era. Iraqi, and especially Iranian kit are very affordable. Not to mention, your admission fee is the cost of a regular airsoft day game.
