Growing Together Workshop Series
About this Event
Join us for Growing Together at GreenUP Ecology Park! This workshop series offers an excellent opportunity to explore gardening basics, gardening with children, pollinator gardens, and gardening as we age.
- June 6th: Gardening Basics
- July 4th: Gardening with Children
- September 26th: Gardening with Pollinators
- October 17th: Gardening as we Age
No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty!
What to Bring:
Sturdy, closed-toe shoes
Long pants & sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
Rain coat
Work gloves (we’ll have extras)
Water bottle
Extra snacks
Accessibility & Weather:
We aim to make these events flexible and inclusive. In heavy rain, we will ensure to arrange sheltered activities. If you have accessibility needs or concerns, please get in touch with us in advance. We have an accessible washroom. However, only some areas of the Park are fully accessible to mobility device users.
Please Note:
- All attendees under 16 year of age must be registered and will require caregiver permission to participate
- Only pre-registered participants will receive workshop materials
- Photos will be taken at this event! Please contact us directly if you have any concerns
- Activities may be adjusted depending on weather and other factors.
