At this Open House, attendees will learn about:

  • The emerging plan, including recommendations for land use, built form approaches, and policy directions.
  • Proposed improvements to parks, community amenities, streets and mobility networks, including the Beltline Gap Connections.
  • Draft delineations and policy directions for the Glencairn Protected Major Transit Station Area.
  • Potential Major Street designation of Glencairn Avenue, from Bathurst Street to Dufferin Street, in the City of Toronto Official Plan, to enable missing middle housing and neighbourhood retail permissions

City staff and the study team will be available throughout the Open House to answer questions and hear your feedback on the emerging plan and policy directions.

Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to the area, your input is essential to shaping the future of Marlee-Glencairn. We look forward to seeing you at the Open House and hearing your thoughts.

🚘Parking at the venue is limited. On street parking is available in the surrounding neighbourhood. We encourage participants to use transit or other means to travel to and from the open house if possible.

About the Growing Marlee-Glencairn Study

The City is studying the area surrounding Glencairn Subway Station and Marlee Avenue to guide future growth, meet provincial density requirements, and identify the investments needed in community infrastructure and services to support a connected and complete neighbourhood.

The Growing Marlee-Glencairn Study has now entered Phase 3. In this phase, the project team has developed emerging recommendations for an area plan based on further analysis and feedback received to date from the community. The plan is a long-term vision for accommodating growth in the Marlee-Glencairn area identifying potential improvements to amenities, public spaces, services, and local infrastructure needed to support growth.
