About Growing Health
In the Growing Health program, participants will learn the basics of home gardening, the health benefits of the seasonal produce grown, and how to make delicious, healthy recipes using items from their garden through a fun, hands-on experience.
Don’t have a yard to plant a large garden? No problem! This program will teach participants how to grow healthy foods, no matter the space for a garden.
Join us!
South Carolinians of all knowledge and skill levels are invited to join Clemson Extension Agents from the Horticulture Team and the Rural Health and Nutrition Team for a class on growing herbs that includes a planting demonstration and how to make healthy, delicious meals with what you grow.
This program is offered to correspond with the different growing seasons so you can take advantage of the various types of healthy produce that can be grown throughout the year.
Participants will receive:
- 🪴 a take-home gardening kit that can be used to grow healthy food at home and
- 📚 resources to help you take care of your garden and your health.
✅ This program is made possible by a grant from the Clemson Extension Rural Health and Nutrition Growing Health Program.
