Growing Exploration in Science & Technology (GEST) is an annual outreach event held at the Duke University Marine Laboratory that introduces middle school students to the exciting world of STEM. Through hands-on activities, interactive workshops, and panel discussions led by local scientists, GEST inspires students from diverse backgrounds to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Our mission is to create an inclusive space where all students can envision themselves as future STEM leaders, fostering confidence and curiosity to shape a more equitable future.
