Groundwork to ridden polework clinic for strength and development Gidge
Schedule

Ael Y Bryn Equestrian | Baskerville, WA
This two-hour pole work clinic is designed to help riders identify physical weaknesses in their horses and learn practical exercises to address them, in preparation for the upcoming season.
The session will begin with groundwork-based pole exercises to assess symmetry, coordination, balance, and movement patterns. From there, we will progress to ridden pole work, applying those findings under saddle with exercises tailored to each horse and rider combination.
The focus will be on developing strength, suppleness, core stability, and body awareness, while giving riders a clearer understanding of why certain patterns feel easy or difficult for their horse—and how to manage this moving forward.
Suitable for horses and riders preparing for eventing, show jumping, dressage, endurance, or pleasure riding, this clinic is ideal for those wanting structured, evidence-based pole work that translates directly into better performance and soundness throughout the season.
All exercises will be scalable to suit different levels and stages of training.
