Grof Breathwork is a deeply immersive modality developed by Stanislav and Christina Grof in the 1970s. Through accelerated breathing and evocative music, participants enter non-ordinary states of consciousness that can open the door to many forms of healing. These may include emotional release, somatic shifts, personal insight, trauma resolution, symbolic or creative imagery, and expanded self-awareness—held within a safe and supportive group environment. This full-day workshop at Qi includes one three-hour session as a breather and one as a sitter. Mandala art integration follows each journey to help anchor themes, imagery, and emerging insights.
Many participants find the sitting role equally meaningful, as it strengthens their ability to hold space and support others in medicine-assisted modalities. Grof Breathwork was initially developed as a breath-based substitute for psychedelic therapy. It can also support preparation for psychedelic work or integration afterward. Focused bodywork is available by request and can help complete the emotional and somatic processes that arise in sessions.
Your registration includes a group preparation meeting in the week before the workshop and an integration meeting in the days afterward (both via Zoom).
