Come join us for this special one-day workshop in Grof(R) Breathwork at the beautiful and inspiring Church of Truth in James Bay, Victoria.
Facilitated by Renn Butler, with Kyla Campbell, Wilde Lawson-King, and Adrian Oberg.
Grof Breathwork (holotropic breathwork) was developed by Stan and Christina Grof at Esalen in the mid-1970s. This technique uses deep and rapid breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, and mandala drawing to help people enter holotropic ("moving toward wholeness") states of consciousness in a supportive group setting. We will create an opportunity for you to let go in a safe space and allow your inner healer to emerge and direct the process of deepening and releasing.
This practice draws on the best of both shamanism and modern depth psychology. If you are involved in responsible psychedelic work for healing and self-exploration, you will also find Grof Breathwork to be a highly beneficial complement to that work.
Participants choose a partner for the day and each will have an opportunity to both breathe and sit. Many people find that sitting is a very meaningful experience, and can deepen their capacity to support clients in medicine-assisted modalities as well. That said, this is non-drug event. Grof Breathwork/holotropic breathwork was developed as a substitute for psychedelic therapy.
Cost $275, which includes a healthy lunch. Some discounts may be available upon request.
Includes a Zoom pre-call in the week before the session and a Zoom integration call a week afterward.
9 am - 7 pm (doors open at 8:30 am and we recommend people come by 8:45).
