Grief Support Services know that that the holiday season can be a hard time for those who have lost a loved one; which is why we're so proud to announce and host our Remembrance Picnic on Sunday the 17th of November at Te Puna Quarry Park. This is a free event, just bring yourselves and a picnic!At our picnic, we want to connect those who are struggling with the loss of a loved one with other whānau living through the same experience. We want to provide a safe space where the community can support each other, though our counsellors will also be present to offer informal support.
Bring a picnic and share in memories and reflections of your loved one. There will be entertainment, a sausage sizzle and facepainting provided. PLEASE NOTE: This is a family friendly event but please use your discretion. Suicide will be a topic discussed and present and you know your whānau best.
