World-renowned performer, choreographer and cultural expert Nora Amin returns to Cairo with GRIEF.
ÉLA welcomes Nora Amin for an exclusive two-day intensive experience of GRIEF. A journey where somatic expression meets verbalisation and vocalisation, and where Nora’s signature choreography intertwines with her scientific expertise as a certified grief coach.
Through movement, voice and emotional transformation, participants are invited into an intersectional journey where all kinds of grief can meet—whether related to the death of a loved one, the loss of a dream, a relationship, a body part, a career, a native language or culture, or the loss of belonging and feeling at home.
This experience is open to people of all ages, cultures and genders who are ready to embrace their grief, embody their transformation, express their story, and share their power. Over two days, ÉLA becomes a socio-cultural container and a safe space to move through grief within and beyond the body—dancing it, giving it voice, and breathing life into what longs to be expressed.
Nora Amin is a world-renowned performing artist, author, choreographer and theatre director with more than 60 productions carrying her signature. She holds a PhD in Cultural Policy, alongside international certifications in grief coaching, somatic healing and trauma healing. She has developed her own methodology at the intersection of dance, healing and ritual-making. Her academic research and essays are widely published, and her recent books have been released in both German and English. Based in Germany for the past ten years, Nora works internationally as a mentor, university professor and workshop facilitator for professional actors, dancers and therapists.
