About this Event
Join us Thursday April 2nd at Perry’s Palm Springs as we explore one of the most exciting and under-the-radar wine countries in the world: Greece. With a winemaking history that stretches back thousands of years, Greece today is experiencing a modern renaissance—bringing ancient grape varieties into a fresh, vibrant spotlight, showcasing incredible value.
This week’s tasting highlights that evolution, showcasing wines that are distinctive, expressive, and full of character.
We’ll be pouring:
Tetramythos – Roditis Nature
A natural, low-intervention white from the Peloponnese, Roditis offers citrus, orchard fruit, and a gently textured, slightly wild edge. Still relatively unknown outside Greece, it’s a refreshing alternative to more familiar Mediterranean whites.
Domaine Paterianakis – Organic Assyrtiko
From Crete, this vibrant expression of Greece’s most celebrated white grape delivers bright citrus, mineral tension, and crisp acidity. Assyrtiko is gaining global attention for its precision and food-friendly character, often compared to some of Europe’s great coastal whites.
Monemvasia Winery – Monemvasios Red
A rare and historic style, this wine reflects the revival of traditional Greek varieties and regional blends. With rich fruit, spice, and structure, it offers a glimpse into Greece’s winemaking past, reimagined for today.
Together, these wines offer a journey through Greece’s past and present—ancient grapes, modern techniques, and a sense of discovery in every glass.
