Find Analog Answers — Find Parenting Strategies — Find Free Fun for Kids
From smartER phones for kids to phone locks and more, multiple vendors will be on hand to help you choose technology that supports kids' healthy development and suits your family's needs.
A handful of vendors will be present to demonstrate their products and we will have a RAFFLE to give away some of these safer devices.
There will be a supervised space with games and crafts for kids so that you can ask these vendors all of your questions while you explore.
Jill Anderson will be speaking at this event. She is a veteran educator, parent, and founder of Mindful Tech Lessons. Drawing on more than 20 years in education, she helps families navigate children’s relationship with technology and find practical alternatives to smartphones and social media. Through workshops, advocacy, and community initiatives, Jill works to help families protect childhood while giving kids the communication, independence, and connection they need.
Lila DiMasi and Kelly Flynn, research coordinators at the Duckworth Lab at the University of Pennsylvania, will also be presenting their recent findings from their Phones in Focus survey which gathered reports of school phone policies from over 118,000 educators across all 50 states. They will discuss their findings around adolescents' relationship to technology at our event.
