Grand Opening Ceremony of the Prairie Boardwalk

Willow Waterhole Greenspace Conservancy invites you to the grand opening of the Boardwalk Trail in the Native Prairie Preserve on June 6 at 10:30 a.m. This .5-mile elevated boardwalk offers rare public access into a federally protected 20-acre prairie home to threatened and endangered native plant species, including Texas Windmill Grass, Texas Camphor Daisy, and the endangered Texas Prairie Dawn. Guests are invited to experience a self-guided walk along the trail, gather for remarks in the Outdoor Classroom located mid-trail, and enjoy light refreshments and community networking before the ribbon cutting ceremony. Parking is available at the Prairie Lake lot on Gasmer Drive. The event will begin at the Outdoor Classroom. Rain or shine.
