First Good Shout of 2025...we'd better smash it then!
Good Shout is held at Here We Aren't, Godric Square every first Thursday of the month; pay what you feel, doors at 6.40pm, start at 7pm.
So how does this affect you?
Are you a poet? Come and do some words.
Spoken Word and Poetry open mic, first come, first served. 10 minute max per poet, but priority is given to new performers and those who travel!

To kick off 2025 we are joined by the epic Cathie Rae!
Cathi Rae is an award winning poet and spoken word artist. Joelle Taylor describes her as "a spoken word icon" and Lydia Towsey says she writes poems that "are necessary and beautiful".
Cathi has performed throughout the UK at spoken word events, literature and arts festivals. She teaches creative writing and is an associate artist with Word!Lesta.
She has recently completed an creative/practice led PhD @Leicester University.
