About this Event
Good Grief is a free peer-to-peer support meeting and supportive space for anyone who has experienced a loss or is grieving. You are also welcome if you'd like to speak openly about anything impacting your mental health and well-being.
The New Normal Charity
The New Normal Charity is a Hong Kong registered S88 charity 91/19147. We offer free peer support to connect adults through their mental health and grief. We aim to help and support one another through life's difficult moments.
We feel that one of the best forms of therapy is simply talking. We facilitate conversations between individuals who find themselves with similar experiences. Nobody should ever feel alone, and there is always somebody who can relate to your story.
Good Grief is our original meeting. It was started in 2018 by friends Jack and Ben to bring like-minded adults together to openly discuss their stories and experiences. A place for people to be themselves and talk freely.
The meetings were created to give space to comfortably discuss experiences of grief and mental health in an understanding environment, in the knowledge that your experiences are shared with others who can relate.
At the beginning of each meeting, attendees take turns introducing themselves and why they have come to the group. From then, there is no pressure at all to speak, and many people attend our meetings to listen. The meeting hosts will then ask the group if anyone has anything they would like to bring to the space. Whatever a person says is relevant, and they are welcome to bring anything to the meeting. All attendees are asked to respect the privacy of the space and treat others and ourselves with kindness throughout.

Changing how we discuss our grief, mental health, and well-being in open and honest spaces. Nobody should ever feel isolated, and there is always somebody who will relate to your story. ‘If there’s one, there’s two.’
