In this two hour gong bath immersion we begin with body and breath awareness followed by gentle slow breathing in rhythm with the vibration of the gong. We will then relax in a fully reclined position as we listen and feel the pulsation of the sound. Allowing the body to become entrained to the gongs frequency and tones. This gives the body freedom to release old patterns, trapped emotions, and stimulates the body to heal at a cellular level. It not only works on the physical body, but the emotional, and energetic bodies as well. This is what makes gongs so powerful!!! More than just sound, the gong can be felt in the body - it isn't just a restorative experience. It is an incredible healer.
The gong literally says it's name when played.... GONG! ... but as we continue to allow the sound to unfold the gong repeats AUM.
Buddhist practice embraces the gong wholeheartedly, having been used in temples and practice for thousands of years. The gong is not a modern technology by any means, it has withstood the test of time, proving its worth as both a healer and mindfulness tool.
We invite you to experience our new symphonic pentatonic bao gongs, our new wind and chau gongs, and of course, our trusty Paiste symphonic gong that has been Erin's yoga companion for nearly 8 years.
