You’re invited to arrive a little early before the event begins and take a quiet walk through the beautiful, serene Garden - a perfect way to unwind and ease your mind after a busy day at work.
At 5:30 PM, we’ll gather inside the Hall of One Hundred Rivers to set our intentions and begin a powerful guided breathwork session designed to relax and calm the nervous system.
We will sink deeper into relaxation with a Monochord Meditation. I will be playing the incredible 33-string OM Monochord, custom-made for my sessions by an artist in Spain. When all 33 strings are set in motion at the same time, a pleasantly rippling sound full of rich overtones washes over the listeners. The effect of the sound can be described as stimulating, lifting the spirits and at the same time relaxing.
We are then immersed in the full spectrum of frequencies and vibrations of a gong bath. Gong sound baths are one of the oldest forms of meditation. The high-quality Gongs featured during this journey will the massive 38-inch Pure Titanium Sun Dance Gong and the 38-inch Paiste Planetary Sun Gong. In addition, two other big, unique gongs - a 32-inch Spiral Sufi Ammonite Gong and a 34-inch Blue Moon Gong - will add more layers and richness to the soundscape. As the vibrations and ethereal sounds of the two Sun Gongs wash over you, they guide you into a state of deep relaxation and inner space exploration.
The resonance of the gong is created by layer upon layer of sound that blossoms into a ‘sound envelope’ around you, allowing you to enter a theta brainwave state. Due to the dominant lower range frequencies, you can also experience an evolving shimmering soundscape that sometimes leads to floating sensations and vivid visualizations of colours, textures and abstract scenes.
Each Gong Sound Journey is a unique experience that promotes deep restoration through sound, resonance, and intention.
No prior experience is necessary, as the sound bath is open to individuals of all backgrounds and levels of familiarity with meditation or sound therapy. Sound meditation is personal and subjective experience, which we all experience differently. We invite you to come and try for yourself to explore the benefits and find your own connection with the sound.
What do you need to bring? Please bring a yoga mat, pillow and blankets. By creating a comfortable cocoon, you will be able to fully reap the benefits of these sound vibrations. Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing.
***PLEASE NOTE: Detailed arrival and preparation instructions will be emailed to you before the event.***
