You may be wondering, what is gold-filled?
Gold-filled is created by mechanically bonding a solid layer of gold to an inner base metal core. Then the two materials are permanently bonded using heat and pressure. This creates a high-quality, durable & cost-conscious way to make beautiful gold jewelry.

This is a great class for beginners because you need no experience!
What will you make?
You will create your own gold-filled & gemstone stackable ring set. Everyone will make 2 rings, then have the choice to add a pop of color and sparkle by setting a gemstone of your choice in a bezel cup or make a 3rd ring.
You will leave with 2–3 custom rings, perfect for stacking, gifting, or showing off your new metalsmithing skills.
What will you learn?
In the workshop, we will cover the basics of working with gold-filled & the basics of goldsmithing (ie. measuring, filing, shaping, soldering with a torch & polishing

Must be 16 years of age (unless arranged before signing up for the class)
Safety Requirements: No loose clothing, long hair must be tied back, must wear closed-toed shoes during class. Provided glasses must be worn while soldering, filing & sawing.
