Mark your calendars for this year's Gold Panning and Mining class, at the famous Miners ravine, where I had been finding gold for about twenty years. At long last, i'm gonna reveal my secret spot.
In this fun and informative class, we will be looking for gold the old fashioned way, with shovels and gold pans, and are certain to come up with any number of colors. This is a family friendly class, and the water is very shallow, with no danger of anyone drowning. We will be standing in the water for extended periods of time, so you will want to bring some sturdy water shoes, and maybe some floating toys for the very young.
The class is $25 per person, kids under 6 are free. If you have your own gold pan, bring it, but if you don't, i will be providing pans and one small vial for an additional $15, both of which you will take home with you.
It's helpful if you sign up for the class directly so I know how many people are coming, but i'm locking it down to 8 to 10 attendees for each session, so it doesn't get too hectic. It's especially helpful if you bring your own shovel as well. Of course, any gold that you find you will keep. Chances are the class will fill up pretty quickly, so I will certainly schedule more in so everyone can have a chance to join us. This will be a first come first serve event.
