Goh Ballet's The Nutcracker 2026 Open Gymnastics Auditions

We invite you to audition to join Goh Ballet's The Nutcracker as an audience favourite, Mother Ginger's Bon Bons! This dynamic role is specific to Gymnasts (artistic and/or rhythmic) and Acro performers for their charismatic talent and gravity defying techniques.

Audition Details:

• Friday, July 10th, 2026
• 5:00pm - 6:00pm
• Goh Ballet Academy (2345 Main Street, Vancouver, BC V5T 3C9)
  

Eligibility:

• Ages: 8 -12
• Max. Height: 5 feet (152.4 cm)
  

Dress Code:

• Athletic wear
• Bare feet
• Hair neat and secured away from face
• No jewelry, glasses, or watches
  

Skills Required:

• Cartwheels & Roundoffs
• Front & Back Walkovers
• Aerials
• Front & Back Handsprings
• Split jumps

*Please arrive at least 30 mins but no more than 1 hour before the audition start time for check-in and individual warm up.*

Audition Cancellation & Refund Policy:

• All ticket sales are Final and Non-Refundable. No refunds will be provided for any cancellations or no-shows. Registered dancers who will miss the audition for any reason must inform us via email as soon as possible to [email protected].
• A make-up audition may be scheduled later in the year, subject to availability. Dancers that are registered, but are unable to attend the first audition due to last-minute illness or injury may transfer their audition fee to the makeup session by discretion of Artistic Faculty.
• Regardless of audition outcome, refunds are not eligible.
  

Rehearsal Details:

• Rehearsals begin in September, and takes place every Sunday (Late afternoon between 4:00pm-6:00pm - Times TBC)
• From November onwards, there will be run-throughs of the production on Friday evenings in addition to regular Sunday rehearsal.
• Production Week held at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre takes place from December 15th to 20th, 2026.
• *All cast members must be available every day for the duaration of Production Week.*

Mandatory Production Fee:

• Performers who are cast in Goh Ballet's The Nutcracker 2026 production are required to pay a $395.00+ GST (CAD) Non-Refundable Production Fee.
• This fee is inclusive of rehearsals, performances, costume fittings, alterations and hair/head pieces.
• Mother Ginger's Bon Bons requires enhanced make-up items provided by Goh Ballet for an additional fee.
