Love and loss are in close proximity in Lena Stahl's debut feature about a teenager and his mother who go on a trip together after nearly losing each other. The tragicomic and moving story stars Jonas Dassler, Germany's young film star (known for Fatih Akin's The Golden Glove and Lars Kraume's The Silent Revolution, among others) as Jason, the reckless son of photographer Marlene, played by Anke Engelke, a renowned German presenter and comedian. After a serious skateboarding accident, Marlene decides to take her son's fate into her own hands and drive him from Berlin to a specialized rehabilitation clinic in Switzerland. During the long journey across Germany, long-ignored conflicts and painful memories begin to resurface, and Marlene must accept Jason's desire to lead a freer and more independent life...
