All are warmly welcome to join us for God’s Water Way Prayer Walk. This is the fourth in our God Encounters series, and Steven Haworth and Rosy Keane are really looking forward to hosting you.We will gather at 10:00 am outside St Paul’s Cathedral on Flinders Street in the Melbourne CBD, and conclude at 12:30 pm. Afterwards, you are very welcome to stay and enjoy lunch together somewhere in the city.
For this God’s Water Way walk, we will explore the Birrarung River and take time for gentle, facilitated prayer. We will begin with a reflective moment where Steven shares photographs he has taken of the waterways. You will be invited to consider what God might be saying to you through these images and the landscape around us.
Following this guided time, there will be space for open prayer walking. You are welcome to walk and pray on your own or with others.
We will provide a simple devotional booklet to guide your reflections if that is helpful. At the end, we will gather again to share what has stirred us or spoken to us along the way. Steven will also share one final image for each person (yours to keep!) to help complete the series and prompt our closing reflections.
The feedback from previous walks has been deeply encouraging. There is something powerful about praying together in creation, listening for God in both image and place.
Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be part of The Salvation Army, and you do not need to be sure about what you believe. Whether you are exploring faith, curious about prayer, or simply longing for space to reflect, we would love to have you join us.
