Learn how to milk goats as the first step towards our Goat Milking Programme!
About this Event

Join us for a couple of hours hJoin us at the farm for a relaxed and informative introduction to goat milking, and take your first step towards joining our Goat Milking Programme.

During this small-group session, you’ll spend a couple of hours with our goats, learning the fundamentals of safe, calm and hygienic milking. Bradley will guide you through the process, explain our daily routines, and be happy to answer any questions along the way. This session is designed to give you a clear understanding of what’s involved and whether the programme is right for you.

Our goats are milked twice daily, at 8am and 6pm. These times are fixed to ensure the animals’ welfare. We have two milking places available in the morning and two in the evening, making four slots per day. Participants commit to a minimum of one slot per week, with each milking shift lasting approximately 30–45 minutes.

The Goat Milking Programme costs £90 per year*, which contributes towards feed, care, and ongoing welfare. The £10 fee for this introductory training session will be deducted from the programme cost should you decide to join.

(*please do get in touch if you are experiencing financial difficulties and wish to join the programme.)

This session is ideal for anyone interested in learning more about dairy goats and animal care.
