Welcome to the Oxford Tango Academy weekly practica!This space is designed for dancers of all levels to come and practise, socialise and relax every week. You are welcome to ask questions and request help and feedback from a teacher.
It is an informal setting, but we still encourage the use of cabaceo and ronda.
We play tandas of 3 tangos with some vals and milonga.
Free tea, coffee and cake and wine - you are welcome to bring your own drinks!
Payment at the door (cash or card):
- £10 standard entrance
- £8 (full-time university student)
- £6 on presentation of full-time Student ID and Student Tango Society card.
HOW TO GET THERE:
Address: St Margaret's Institute, 30 Polstead Rd, Oxford
The address often appears on Facebook as Hayfield Road, but please refer to the address above instead. St Margaret's Institute is located at the bottom of Polstead Road, beside the Anchor Pub.
The entrance is at the side of the building on the right. (Not through the blue main door).
You can park on the street for free after 6:30pm. There are generally plenty of spaces but if not, you can park on St Margaret's road (parallel).
