Glow-Up Your Heart ✨ Kids Valentine’s Workshop is a fun, creative art experience designed to help children practice self-love, positive self-talk, and confidence—all through hands-on clay and reflection.

During the workshop, kids will:

• Learn what affirmations are and why kind words matter
• Create their own clay affirmation jar using air-dry clay
• Write meaningful affirmations they can use at home
• Celebrate what makes them unique in a supportive environment

No art experience needed—just a willingness to create, explore, and get a little messy ✨

Ages: 5–10
Take-home: Clay affirmation jar + affirmation strips

This is a feel-good Valentine’s experience that goes beyond candy—giving kids tools they can use long after the workshop ends.

About the Artist
Kat Colella is a My Good Brain Resident Artist who uses expressive arts to support children’s emotional growth, confidence, and self-expression. Based in San Diego, Kat is a graduate student training to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a goal of specializing in Art Therapy. As both an artist and a parent, she is passionate about creating warm, inclusive art spaces that promote resilience, healing, and mental health education for children and their families.

About My Good Brain

My Good Brain is an arts-based nonprofit focused on promoting mental wellness among school-aged youth.

Through the vehicle of art and play, we aim to teach children from a young age through adolescence how to practice healthy coping strategies for mental and emotional wellness.
