About this Event
This event is a 2 hour BSL event, hosted by Amy Murray. During this event you will get an introduction to the world of Glory Mold, interaction with different parts of the installation, and an opportunity to speak with the artists.
The Glory Mold: 2084 installation is free to attend and will be open 12-5pm; Fri 24th - Wednesday 29th July in Unit 12 at St Enoch Shopping Centre in Glasgow, as a part of Surge Festival & Merchant City Festival.
It’s 2084, the world is in drought, and something strange and magical is growing in the ruins of one of the old world’s tech centres. Meet Glory Mold - a fusion of technology and living material.
In this immersive installation audiences will speak to Glory Mold through humanity’s last working keyboard, communicating with a playful, fungi-fueled AI, and explore the multisensory ecosystem it inhabits.
Against a backdrop of deepfakes, AI-slop, and climate emergency, Glory Mold: 2084 invites us to go back to the beginning and to look into the future with new eyes.
