About this Event

Dog lives in Manhattan and he’s tired of being alone. One day he decides to build himself a robot, a companion. Their friendship blossoms until they become inseparable, to the rhythm of 80’s NYC. One summer night, Dog, with great sadness, is forced to abandon Robot at the beach. Will they ever meet again? Based on the popular graphic novel by Sara Varon and directed by Pablo Berger, Robot Dreams was nominated in 2024 in the Best Animated Feature Film category. Runtime 1 hour, 43 minutes. No dialogue. Rated PG-13.

The film will be introduced by Kayla Jordan Haywood, Triage Counselor/Intake Specialist for NC State’s Counseling Center. The Global Film Series is a partnership between the NC State University Libraries and the NC State Office of Global Engagement.
