Rossall is delighted to invite students in the local area and beyond to undertake a scholarship assessment for those interested in joining Rossall and the Elite Football Programme. The event will also offer participants the opportunity to experience a skills workshop with expert coaches and meet some of our current squad to hear a student perspective on the benefits of the programme.
Eligibility:
The scholarship day is open to girls who are currently in Year 9, 10 or 11 and study at schools within the local/regional area.
Elite Football Programme at Rossall:
The programme is ideal for students who are looking to blend the best of British academic excellence and world-class football coaching and opportunities. The Elite Football Programme at Rossall, delivered in partnership with Premier League champions Manchester City, is unlike any other offered in the UK. Students benefit from both a leading academic education and comprehensive coaching that sees two Manchester City coaches permanently based at Rossall.
Students and parents should report to the Sports Centre reception for check in at 9:30am. There will be a short welcome hosted by Director of Sport, Peter Bignell and Director of Football, Matt Grady. Students will then be taken to the match area, parents are welcome to observe or return at 13:30 for collection at the Sports Centre.
For participants and parents who wish to observe, a post match meal will be provided in the Dining Hall at 12:15.
Drinks will be provided throughout the session.
Students should arrive wearing suitable football kit and bring football boots which are suitable for both astroturf and grass surfaces.
