This Halloween, Girls Get Spooky is heading to an enchanted forest, and you're all invited...
On Sunday 24th October, Girls Get Social will be celebrating our 3rd Spooky Season in style. You guys have been BEGGING for another Murder Mystery and we're so excited to say that it is BACK for 2026!
Mystical creatures and forest animals (girlies) alike from across the West Midlands will be heading to the heart of Birmingham for an all-girl spooktacular at Elmroot Forest! Our girls will get the chance to uncover a mystery as a collective whilst making friends for life in the process. Expect tricks, treats, drinks, games, extravagant costumes out of the ordinary, and all the girlies coming together for one magical afternoon ✨
The Story:
Each year, beneath the sacred tree of Elmroot Forest, magical creatures gather to honour their ancestors and celebrate the forest's rebirth after a war that nearly destroyed it over a century ago. Once reduced to ash and silence, Elmroot has only recently begun to flourish again, its magic restored and its creatures returned. But beneath the celebration lies unease with tensions thick. The powerful Elven Council governs access to magic, a newly discovered plant of unknown power is under strict control, and whispers of unrest linger between factions long divided by war.
As the moon rises, a sudden shattering cuts through the festivities. What follows sends unease through those gathered together, and before long, death casts a shadow over the celebrations. As Elmroot begins to wither once more and its ancient protective barrier is set to collapse by the eighth hour of night, suspicion spreads quickly. Secrets surface, alliances fracture, and time is running out.
Who can be trusted? What truly happened beneath the sacred tree? The last leaf clings to the bough as the stars veil their faces. With all these questions left unanswered, can the truth be uncovered before Elmroot falls again?
What will happen at the event?
Before the event, The GGS team will create a WhatsApp group for the attendees so you can put faces to who's attending, arrange meetup points & just say hi before the big day! Attendees will be added to the WhatsApp within 2 days of purchasing a ticket. Please include your mobile number when you buy a ticket to ensure that you will be added.
1 pm - Doors open. When your ticket is scanned at the door, the GGS team will be there to greet you! We will also treat you with one FREE drinks token to start the evening on a high.
1:30 pm - the story begins!
A private bar serving alcoholic & non-alcoholic refreshments will be available for attendees throughout the evening
Take part in various puzzles throughout the evening to break the ice and help uncover clues!
Throughout this scarily amazing day, feel free to mix, mingle and make some friends!
4:30pm - The party's over, time to part ways! Head home safely or feel free to take the party elsewhere and carry on the fun with the friends that you have made 😊

Please note: we know circumstances occasionally change closer to the date but pleaseee only book a ticket if you are 100% on coming! Tickets for all GGS events are non-refundable, so if your plans do change, let a member of the GGS team know as soon as you possibly can & try your very best to get your ticket exchanged via the ticket resell chat 🥰
Tickets are £27 and will be on sale until Saturday 24th October 2026 at Midday. Please note that this date may be cut off earlier. If this occurs, it will be announced on our social media platforms.
Girls Get Social is proud to be a not-for-profit organisation, meaning 100% of the profit from every ticket sold goes back into the running of our events, making the best experiences for our girls!

Please note: for your safety, the location address & details will be kept private and revealed upon purchase.
For solo-goers, nervous attendees or girls who want someone to walk with, we will set up a couple of meet-up points! We will let you know a few days before the event the exact details on where to meet up & who will be meeting you (with pictures so you can put a face to a name!)
The venue is in Birmingham City Centre and will be accessible via public transport. Parking can be found near the venue.
Dress code
Our Murder Mystery Night is an immersive event. With this in mind, sticking with the theme and story within your costume is a MUST!
Here are some suggestions: Elves, Fairies, Forest animals (deer, foxes, birds, butterflies), Witches, Ogres/Orcs, Hags, Warriors, Goblins, Dryads, Dragons - and find more in our chats!

Please note that there will be some photography at the event. This will be taken on the GGS team's phones and will potentially be used for social media & marketing purposes. Please state when purchasing your ticket - by selecting "I DO NOT give consent" - if you'd prefer for your picture not to be taken!
We request that this social event be full of positive vibes and that guests refrain from acting negatively towards others. If there are grievances that need addressing or arguments to be had we require them to be discussed outside the event. If any conflict does arise at our event (which is very unlikely) we will kindly ask you to leave and tickets cannot be refunded.
