Calling participants ages 12 – 14!
Girls and STEAM, presented by STEMCELL Technologies, invites your teen to join our first ever Mentor Evening on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 (5:20pm – 7:30pm).
We listened to all the participant feedback from the Girls and STEAM Summit and took it to heart. Since the Mentor Café was one of the most popular events at the Summit, we’re hosting an extended version! This unique event will give participants more time to fully delve into the day-to-day work and career stories from different STEAM professionals.
From animation to medicine, and engineering to ecology, this is an opportunity to learn first-hand from our wonderful group of Mentors. Participants will learn about jobs they never knew existed, and about the many ways our Mentors launched into their fields.
*This inclusive program welcomes participants of many gender identities – whether your teen identifies as a girl, trans, genderqueer, non-binary, Two-Spirit, or gender questioning.
What can I expect during the evening?
- All attendees will be placed into small groups and rotate between mentor cafe tables.
- During the course of the evening, they will have the opportunity to speak to a minimum of 8 different mentors from a range of STEAM fields!
- This will be an interactive, engaging opportunity for the participants to learn about different types of STEAM careers that they might not have know existed!
- Please make sure you eat dinner beforehand. A small snack will be available for participants.
- As this is an evening event, all participants will need to be picked up by an approved adult at the end of the night.
