Pole Work & Development Sessions
Location: 99 Reen Rd
Please read the class descriptions carefully and ensure you select the correct class when booking via the link. Each session is structured for a specific stage of training and fitness.

Trot & Canter Pole Work – Strength & Coordination
Time: 6:00–7:00 pm (under lights)
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $65 per person (includes ground fee)
A progressive pole work session focused on developing strength, power, and coordination at trot and canter.
Suitable for horses already comfortable working in trot and canter and ready to progress their strength and athletic development. Exercises target:
• Core stability and trunk control at higher speeds
• Engagement and carrying power through the hindquarters
• Improved rhythm, straightness, and adjustability
• Development of topline strength under increased load
This session is technical and gymnastic rather than fast or height-focused, prioritising movement quality and correct muscle use.

Walk & Trot Pole Work – Posture & Muscle Development
Time: 5:00–6:00 pm
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $65 per person (includes ground fee)
A structured pole work session designed to build postural strength, balance, and correct muscle activation at walk and trot.
Ideal for horses returning to work, building a foundation, or requiring controlled strengthening. Focus areas include:
• Core and abdominal engagement
• Thoracic sling activation and forehand stability
• Improved balance, coordination, and rhythm
• Development of correct postural carriage and topline
Pole configurations are adapted to suit individual horses while maintaining calm, correct movement patterns.

Groundwork to Saddle – Foundation & Progressive Development
Time: 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Duration: 2 hours
Cost: $95 per person (includes ground fee)
A structured two-hour session designed to support the transition from groundwork to ridden work. Suitable for novice riders, young horses, unfit horses, rehabilitation cases, or horses returning to work.
Hour 1 – In-hand groundwork
Focus on:
• Postural awareness and correct movement patterns
• Core activation and body control
• Balance, straightness, and coordination
• Calm, structured responses to exercises
Hour 2 – Ridden work
Progressing the same principles under saddle at an appropriate level, with emphasis on:
• Maintaining posture developed in-hand
• Confidence and strength in walk and trot (with progression as appropriate)
• Correct muscle use without overload or rushing
