Gianni Russo is an American actor, singer, and entrepreneur best known for playing Carlo Rizzi in The Godfather (1972). He landed his iconic role by leveraging connections to organized crime figures, including acting as a liaison between director Francis Ford Coppola and mob boss Joe Colombo. With over 46 film credits, including The Freshman (1990), Seabiscuit (2003), and a stint as Luis "McGrady" Gallego in Prison Break (2007-2008), Russo also owned a Las Vegas restaurant, launched Gianni Russo Wines, and released a 2004 album, Reflections. His colorful life inspired his 2019 memoir, Hollywood Godfather.
