Ghost Twin was the dark synthpop duo of Karen and Jaimz Asmundson. They combined roaring synthlines, dirty pulsing bass, dreamy guitar, and a haunting vocal dichotomy where Baroque meets Industrial, with live video percussion that feeds cinema through a cut-up technique imbued with occult aesthetics. But really, Ghost Twin was just something fun that Karen and Jaimz did together as a couple. It was this weird extension of their relationship that was special to a lot of people. Ghost Twin as it was is gone forever, as Jaimz passed away far too young in January 2024. After much mad grief and soul searching, Karen decided that Ghost Twin could live on. Thanks to the new lineup which includes talented and wonderful friends Pat Short (Kindest Cuts) and Alison Hain (Mutable Body), as well as Karen Asmundson, and the eternal spirit of Jaimz, Ghost Twin is very much alive.

Mutable Body is the solo experimental electronic music act of Treaty 1 based composer Alison Hain. Utilizing sounds that reach far back into semiotic memories, Mutable Body constructs hyper-real soundscapes from synthesized and sampled sources, orchestrating genre agnostic sonic worlds that are at once familiar and alien.

Kindest Cuts is the intermittent solo project of Patrick Short (Under Pressure, This Hisses). Kindest Cuts feeds the listener a bracing buffet of synth-pop, post-punk and early industrial/EBM with a sweetly sardonic aftertaste (or if you prefer, the last 40 years of synth music in a blender with a scoop of Kafka and Beckett). After releasing several EPs/singles in the 2010s, Kindest Cuts released its first album “Keeping Distance” on Oraculo Records in 2020, with (several) followup releases in the works. Patrick has also been active over the last decade as a producer and soundtrack artist, contributing tracks to several motion pictures, horror shorts, and a Netflix series.
