Gettysburg Basketball Fall Coaches Clinic
About this Event
What This Clinic Is?
This is not a lecture. This is not a chalkboard clinic.
This is a fully immersive, on-court learning experience where coaches see modern practice design in action, interact with it live, and leave with a clear understanding of how to build better decision-makers in real game environments.
Led by Chris Oliver, founder of Basketball Immersion, this one-day clinic shows coaches how to move beyond isolated drills and into game-based, decision-rich practice environments that actually transfer to competition.
You will watch a live practice, break it down, discuss it with peers, and connect what you see directly to your own program.
Why This Matters for Coaches
Youth and high school players today often have skills, but struggle with:
- Reading the game
- Making decisions under pressure
- Transferring practice reps to live competition
This clinic gives coaches a modern operating system for:
- Designing practices that teach skills inside the game
- Creating environments that naturally shape better decisions
- Maximizing limited practice time
- Developing smarter, more confident players
Whether you coach youth, middle school, JV, or varsity, you’ll leave with practical ideas you can use immediately.
What You’ll Experience
- Live, on-court practice demonstration with athletes
- Game-based learning and small-sided games
- Constraints-led practice design that pulls learning out of players
- Guided coach debriefs explaining why drills worked
- Peer discussion and knowledge sharing with other Michigan coaches
You won’t just hear concepts — you’ll see them, discuss them, and understand how to apply them.
