Do you have a sewing project or step that has you stuck?
If you've abandoned a project or even your entire machine simply because you're caught on one step, this open studio is for you!
Tackle anything from machine threading to zippers to pattern & fit adjustments with the aid of a professional seamstress & arts educator in the room. Think of it as "office hours" for your sewing project. You may want to learn a new skill or simply bounce ideas off of a trained eye in order to perfect a sewing application. Or... let's be honest... you may have lost momentum and need some motivation. Come spend a social afternoon with fellow sewists who empathize with the beautiful frustrations of #memade goods. This open format studio is for ALL skill levels.
Led by DMV pro designer & seamstress, Syreeta C of . After years in design and education, the realization came that some workshops are too structured and many sewing students have specific questions that aren't tackled in a group-style project. "Get Unstuck!" fills this void with a casual setting and floating, highly-skilled instructor that can support you without the full cost of a private lesson.

- Come anytime, stay as long as you like!
- Bringing your own machine/sewing kit is encouraged in order to familiarize yourself. You want to be comfortable & empowered to continue work on your project at home! (Rent a machine for a small fee - limited machines available.)
- Designed primarily for clothing/garment-centered projects, but open to other stitched wearable arts & accessories.
- All students will have access to the SCF studio to borrow supplies as needed/available including but not limited to scissors, rulers, thread, dress forms, iron, and more. Machines only available if reserved.
- Light refreshments provided.
