Join us for a facilitated movement and live drawing session exploring the connection between movement and sketch through gesture drawing.

While this remains an open invitation to what might unfold, we hope to uncover understandings of form, flow and gestures, and share varying interpretations expressed through any means of drawing.

No experience is needed, however one must be willing to bust out some moves as well as make markings on paper. We do not require expertise or demand artistry, just open minds, eyes and generous bodies in movement.

Specifically focusing on gestures of the twisting torso.
Paper and drawing charcoal and pencil provided.
Feel free to bring your own art supplies and sketchbooks too

Kevin Ho

Kevin is a Singaporean-born multidisciplinary artist that focuses on movement based art and large scale artworks. Started street dance as he was 14, he has been constantly interested in exploring the different movements, forms and workings of the body, which in turn had him to explore more of the visual art aspect of the street culture as he dabbled into graffiti when he was 17. His moniker “KART” is a reminder for him to always be “Keen And Ready To” challenge himself in various aspects of life.

Susan Olij

Born in Indonesia, Singaporean painter Susan Olij builds her practice on life drawing—observing and rendering the human form directly, in real time. She has taught fashion illustration and figure drawing on and off since 2010. From a fashion design grounding, she moves into abstraction, carrying the immediacy of direct observation into her painting, often en plein air. Travel becomes a way of thinking; her process resists fixed narratives, embracing ambiguity and discovery.
