Georgia Tech ME 2110 Design Competition: Spring 2025

Join us for the ME2110 Competition on April 11, 2025. Registration is required for judges, sponsors, and attendees!

The theme of this competition is Minecraft. The teams must defeat hostile mobs (Pillager & Hoglin), tame a wolf, dislodge an end crystal, collect ores, and craft an End Crystal. Each team will be assigned one of the four (4) different colored zones. The machine will start in that zone and score points associated with that zone, but the machine can operate throughout the Overworld.

The design review will be held in the first and second floor Love Atrium (Love Manufacturing Bldg (MRDC II), 771 Ferst Dr, Atlanta, GA 30313). The final competition will be held in the GTMI (Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute) Building Atrium, 813 Ferst Drive, N.W., Atlanta, GA 30332.

Teams are evaluated on several aspects of their design by external judges from professional practice during the design review, a poster session in which teams present and defend their designs.

Event Schedule
4:30 p.m. - Judges' Briefing, Love Building
5:00 p.m. - Design Review/Judging begins
6:00 p.m. - Judging ends and all teams move to the GTMI Building
9:00 p.m. - Awards
