Viewing Hours for Warrior Women

“Warrior Women” is a magnificent collection of ceramic sculptures. The exhibit portrays real-life heroines from American history, contemporary life, and women around the world. Each sculpture is accompanied by a written narrative that tells the compelling story of a woman who struggled against unfair and often brutal circumstances. The sculptures also represent the courage of women who fought to liberate others, such as Harriet Tubman, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and the tireless nurses who worked around the clock during the Covid pandemic.

“Warrior Women” is a compelling vehicle for education. The masterful quality of the sculptures, combined with the variety of narratives across time and place, leaves a lasting impression on visitors.

This event is free to attend, but a suggested donation of $20 would be greatly appreciated to help support our gallery.

Accessibility Information:

The Callanwolde Gallery, located on the second floor of the Callanwolde Mansion, welcomes all visitors. Our parking lot is at the back of the property, a short walk to the mansion. You are welcome to drop off passengers at our portico entrance.

Both stairs and a ramp provide entry to the Mansion, and an elevator is available behind the first-floor library room for those who wish to use it. The elevator opens to an office connected directly to the Gallery space.

Shared Restrooms are behind the grand staircase on the first floor, and a single stall restroom is through Studio A in the gallery space upstairs. Service animals are welcome. Seating options are available for those who request it.
