Geology of Babbacombe and Oddicombe Beaches

Please meet at Babbacombe beach car park (below Cary Arms) where we will be ready to go at 6pm. We will finish the walk at Oddicombe beach around 8pm, from there you can either walk back to Babbacombe beach or up onto the Downs for a post-geological pint. This is not a long walk but please be aware that there is a flight of steep steps in the middle of the walk.
Rich is a local geologist and teacher who has been interested in the rocks of Torbay and south Devon since he was young. He now runs Taleblazers, a community interest company based around storytelling, natural history, folklore and heritage.
No geological knowledge is needed for this walk, just an interest in the rocks that make up this stunning part of the world. Numbers are strictly limited for your safety and to allow us to pitch our descriptions at your level.
