Friday, January 30th, join music lover and author Geoff Harkness at The Listyning Room for an evening celebrating Counting Crows acclaimed 1996 sophomore release, Recovering the Satellites. Produced by Gil Norton, Satellites hit number 1 on the album charts, fueled by radio hits and fan favorites such as “A Long December” “Angels of the Silences” and “Daylight Fading.”
Fronted by charismatic vocalist Adam Duritz, the Crows have sold more than 20 million albums. The Crows are equally renowned for reinventing their songs in concert and they remain a popular touring attraction in the U.S. and abroad. They are currently the subject of the new critically acclaimed documentary Counting Crows: Have you Seen Me Lately? on the HBOMax series Music Box.
Geoff Harkness, Music Exchange alum and author of Rain King: The Life & Music of Adam Duritz & Counting Crows, will take you on a guided tour through the history of the Crows, stopping to take a closer look at influences, classic cuts, cover tunes, and obscurities.
Doors open at 6:30pm, the main program starts at 7:00pm. All the music is played on The Listyning Room's world-class stereo system featuring Audio Note, Klipsch and Cambridge Audio.
$20 Donation supports Center For Recorded Music 501(c)(3) and includes admission, complimentary snacks and beverages including soft drinks, flavored waters, and up to 3 complimentary adult beverages from a great selection of beer, wine, mixed drinks, and NA options.

The Listyning Room is located inside the nbkc building at 3510 W. 95th Street, Leawood, KS 66206. This is the north side of Ranch Mart, and there is plenty of parking for everyone next to the building.
