GENJI POP UP in Los Angeles
For two exclusive days, Osaka’s beloved creative Japanese restaurant GENJI is coming to Los Angeles.
GENJI traces its roots back to 1936, carrying forward a tradition of hospitality, creativity, and a passion for bringing people together through unforgettable dining experiences. Since opening in 1994, the restaurant has earned a loyal following by combining Japanese culinary craftsmanship with innovative ideas, creating dishes that surprise and delight every guest.
For this special pop-up, Chef Atsushi Motokawa, owner and executive chef of GENJI, has created an exclusive multi-course menu available only for this event.
Inspired by the elegance of Japanese cuisine and featuring carefully selected local California ingredients, each course has been thoughtfully designed to offer a dining experience you won’t find anywhere else.
This exclusive event is proudly produced by Japanese comedian Kenji Tamura, whose vision is simple:
To bring people together over exceptional food and create moments they’ll never forget.
With only 12 seats available per session, this intimate experience offers a rare opportunity to discover the spirit of GENJI in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

GENJIは1936年に始まる歴史を受け継ぎ、おもてなし、創造性、そして「料理で人をつなぐ」という想いを大切にしてきました。1994年の開業以来、日本料理の繊細な技術と独創的な発想を融合させた料理で、多くのお客様を魅了し続けています。
今回のPOP UPでは、GENJIのオーナーシェフ・元川篤が、このイベントのためだけに考案した特別なコース料理をご提供します。
日本料理の美しさをベースに、カリフォルニアの厳選食材を取り入れた、この日、この場所でしか味わえない特別なメニューです。
そして、このイベントをプロデュースするのは、お笑い芸人・たむらけんじ。
