A practical workshop covering the veterinary nurse’s role in theatre alongside a refresher on the principles of safe and effective general anaesthesia.The session will explore instrument identification and use, theatre preparation, draping, scrubbing in, and best practice for supporting procedures in theatre. We’ll also revisit key anaesthetic physiology, patient assessment, equipment checks, anaesthetic drugs and monitoring.
Through case studies, we’ll discuss common anaesthetic complications and practical approaches to managing them in clinical practice.
